“I was that patient that thought my pain would eventually go away on its own. By the time I was in my early thirties, the Silicon Valley lifestyle (being on a computer all day!) caused me to have chronic shoulder pain. I tried everything conventional medicine had to offer, painkillers, cortisone shots, physical therapy, you name it. I thought I was going to have to give up the things I loved like swimming. The only thing that worked was acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This experience led me to pursue further education in traditional healing methods.”
Christine is driven to help those that conventional treatments have failed.
“I was also that patient that thought I could just show up at the doctor’s office, grab a prescription, and think my problems would magically disappear. Western medicine is amazing with acute problems and trauma, but is terrible with anything chronic. If you have been suffering with the same problem for more than 6 months, the odds are, you need more than a prescription drug to make it permanently go away. Your body has the ability to heal itself if you stop overloading it with things that make it sick.”
Christine designed medical devices for some of the largest & most influential companies prior to becoming a natural healer. Her engineering background adds to her problem solving ability.
“While I worked at Intuitive Surgical, maker of the da Vinci robot, Boston Scientific, Stryker, and Abbott, I saw how limited the surgical options are for many different health issues. I would see women getting total hysterectomies for fibroids or benign uterine bleeding. There is no need to resort to such extremes for the majority of women.”
"WHEN I TAKE CARE OF MY BODY, MY BODY WILL TAKE CARE OF ME"
Christine holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, a Master of Science from Columbia University in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Stony Brook.
